What Is Activating a License?

Activating licenses is the process of turning on license rights for a product or set of products that need to be activated. The activation of a license is performed through the Open eVision License Manager application that is automatically installed with the SDK (Software Development Kit). Activation requires the use the Activation ID.

What Is an Activation ID?

The activation ID is the unique identifier of an entitlement line item.

An activation ID is represented as a string beginning with act- and followed by 3 sets of 8 characters separated by a dash.
